Help Needy Students to Bridge Digital Divide Through a Smart Phone Library

School going children have dropped out from the learning radar, because many of them do not have any access to any digital medium. They are unable to benefit from online classes. For over six months these children have been forced to stay away from their community of teachers, school friends and knowledge. These children belong to families of migrant labourers or those in the unorganised sector. Additionally, they come from families where more than two siblings have to wait for access to the only family-owned smart phone. We will create a smart phone library. Just like a normal library, the smart phone library will allow children (in the age group of 8-13 years), who do not have access to borrow smart phones to attend online classes and use other digital learning platforms. Our library volunteers will ensure safe and appropriate use of the devices.

  • Continuity of learning for 250 children through 50 smartphones
  • 250 children will learn basic lifeskills facilitated by our volunteers through online platforms
